Washington Auto Show, D.C. Lottery
Offers Rewarding Second Chance
One “lucky car lover”
will win a free 2004 Ford Thunderbird in Second Chance Drawing
of non-winning instant tickets.
WASHINGTON,
D.C. (Nov. 12, 2003) – From cars to people to lottery tickets,
everyone and everything deserves a second chance. The 2004
Washington Auto Show/D.C. Lottery Second Chance Drawing will drive
that point home during this year’s Washington Auto Show: “History
with a Future,” Dec. 26, 2003 – Jan. 4, 2004, at the new Washington
Convention Center. The Second Chance Drawing will award a free 2004
Ford Thunderbird, a car enjoying its own enthusiastic rebirth, to
one lucky winner.
Enjoying it’s
its fourth year, the Washington Auto Show and D.C. Lottery partnership
entails the launch of the “$5.00 Auto Show Instant Scratch ticket”
with a chance to win $25,000 instantly. This ticket and partnership
will award an estimated $1.7 million in total cash prizes. But that’s
not all. Those not receiving an instant payout will have the chance to
turn the non-winning $5.00 Washington Auto Show instant ticket into
the hottest ticket in town, courtesy of the Washington Area Ford
Dealers.
One
non-winning $5.00 Auto Show ticket will be drawn at random to win the
Second Chance Drawing grand prize, a 2004 Ford Thunderbird, courtesy
of the Washington Area Ford Dealers. A favorite for the ages that
still stops traffic, the Thunderbird was re-introduced last year after
a brief hiatus. The contest also offers a second prize of $3,000 in
cash and a third prize of $1,500 worth of free gasoline.
“The
Washington Auto Show/D.C. Lottery Second Chance Drawing is always one
of the highlights of the auto show and has become a favorite consumer
promotion. With a Ford Thunderbird at stake, who wouldn’t be hoping
for a second chance? Suddenly, that non-winning lottery ticket has a
whole new meaning.” says George Doetsch, Washington Auto Show
chairman, and president, Apple Ford, Inc.
The Second
Chance Drawing will be held at the close of the Washington Auto Show
at 4:30 p.m. on Sun., Jan. 4, 2004. To enter, mail one non-winning
2004 Washington Auto Show $5 Instant Ticket to:
